The B1 visa is for business activities such as attending business meetings, conferences, seminars, contract negotiations, training, but also for technical support (repair/maintenance/installation). You are not allowed to be on a US payroll.
Term of validity
As with other B1 visas, the term of validity may differ. The validity varies between 1 and 10 years. In most cases a validity of 10 years is issued.
